Two pedestrians hit in one split
One man was seriously injured and the other man lost his life.
This past week another two pedestrians were hit on the freeway and one unfortunately died.
On July 4 two pedestrian hits happened on the N4 and N12 freeway split.
One man was seriously injured and the other man lost his life.
These two incidents occurred minutes apart as the one was on the N4 split and the other one on the N12 split.
When the police arrived on scene they found Langamed stabilizing the pedestrian before rushing him to Witbank Hospital.
They then took the statement of the driver of the vehicle involved.
Unfortunately the driver could not be reached for comment before going to print.
In the second incident the police found a body of an unknown man on the freeway.
He was declared dead on scene.
It is not clear what happened but is alleged that he jumped from a stationary truck and fell into the road according to a bystander.
The truck was not on the accident scene when police arrived.
The two vehicles that were also involved in this incident stopped and gave their statements to the police.
