Power outages in various parts of eMalahleni
Repairs are anticipated to be completed later this evening
The power supply to the following areas is affected due to a damaged bulk supply cable and repairs are underway:
Portion of Ackerville
Lynnville
Thushanang
Repairs are anticipated to be completed later this evening.
•The power supply to Klarinet extensions is affected due to faulty equipment at Buffer substation and repairs are underway.
•The power supply to KwaGuqa extensions 2,3,7 and 9 is affected due to faulty equipment at Ring substation 1.
There was a delay in attending to the repairs due to community unrest wherein the team was unable to access the substation.
Law enforcement is currently on site with the team.
As additional feedback is received an update will be provided.
•The power supply to KwaGuqa extension 4 is affected due to burnt bundle conductors and the team is currently on site replacing the conductors.
