One shot him through the driver’s door of the police van and the other took his official police gun

A policeman had to undergo an emergency operation last night after he had been shot.

Const Titus Magagula a member of Witbank Police Station is currently in Emalahleni Private Hospital.

He had to undergo an emergency operation shortly after he was shot in his stomach on June 22.

Const Magagula chased after a bakkie because it was assumed that the bakkie was transporting suspected stolen copper.

When Const Magagula managed to stop the bakkie, two men got out.

One shot him through the driver’s door of the police van and the other took his official police gun.

After a sting operation, two men were arrested and will appear in Witbank Magistrate Court this morning
