You can’t buy love, but you can adopt it
Witbank SPCA is brimming with happy healthy pets just waiting for someone to take them home

Each year, it’s estimated that thousands adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet.
The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them.
When you adopt, you save a loving animal by making them part of your family and open up shelter space for another animal that might desperately need it.
Witbank SPCA is brimming with happy healthy pets just waiting for someone to take them home.

Adopting an animal from the SPCA is as easy as ABC.
Come in and view the animals. Choose the animal you are interested in. Complete an application to adopt. A home check will be done.
An inspector will be sent to your property to conduct an inspection and offer advice on adopting a pet.
The inspector will take note of the following:
- Condition of other pets
- Whether adequate shelter is provided
- Where the animal will sleep at night
- Size of property and height of walls
- Ensure that the property is fully enclosed
If approved, you finalise the documentation and pay the adoption fee.
The animal will be sent for sterilisation the following day, if older than six months.
If younger, you have a contract and take the animal at six months of age for sterilisation (already paid for).
