Coldest night, but warmest hearts

The mercury dropped to well below -5 and Doc Nolan said inside the kennels he measured -3

Last night has been a real test for Dr Nolan Landman and Ms Liz Oberholzer inside the SPCA kennels.

They are spending another few nights in the kennels to raise much-needed funds for the SPCA.

The mercury dropped to well below -5 and Doc Nolan said inside the kennels he measured -3.

The fundraiser saw over R100 000 coming into the society’s coffers.

This is money they need for day to day running costs. Covid-19 put a halt to all their fundraising initiatives and the committee had to think well out the box for innovative ideas to keep the SPCA going.

Here is a video Doc Nolan put on social media this morning explaining how bitterly cold it was.
