The Emalahleni Combined Prayer Group held a memorial service in memory of all their members who had passed away since 2019.
The memorial service was held at the Uniting Reformed Church in Lynnville on Thursday, November 11.

Ms Zelda Mgidi says they want to pray and remember all the members this year because they could not do it last year after the Covid-19 lockdown regulations.
A short ceremony was held by lighting candles in remembrance of all the members from the different churches; their names were called out.
One of the executive members said candles symbolises light and the belief that the members are with Jesus Christ who is the light.

Father Linda Zwane related a story of a couple who used to stay in Germany and the husband was taken to fight in the Second World War and in the process of the long war, they lost contact with each other.
After a long time after they had both given up hope of finding each other, they were reunited after the wife saw a tablecloth in a church which she had made after visiting the church.

The husband also saw the same tablecloth and told the priest about it.
The priest was able to reunite them because of the tablecloth. Father Zwane urged the members to support and respect leadership.
He said even if one encounters challenges or problems, one must learn to leave everything to God and pray for guidance as miracles do happen.
