Making a difference with a clean-up

Every little bit helps even if it’s by picking up a small piece of paper or a glass bottle.

Kim Faduk, DA councillor of Ward 33 wanted to make a difference within the community and decided to start at the Kolfbal Club.

Members from the Community Policing Forum (CPF) in the area also said that they will get on board and help with the clean-up at the well-known beacon in Extension 8.

On Saturday, November 13 a large group gathered on the premises to start with the major operation.

They picked up rubbish and also cleaned behind the clubhouse which is sometimes being used as a church. It is also the voting station in the ward.

The CPF members went even further and fixed potholes near Bubbly Hippos Nursery School.

The organisers want to thank everybody who made time and effort to help with the project – “Every bit helps when it comes to cleaning up or filling potholes.
