Petrol station cleaner allegedly threatened with a firearm by suspects

The suspects helped themselves to cash from the till before they fled the scene.

As eMalahleni local enterprises see a surge in the ever-increasing business robberies, a petrol station situated in the Central Business District (CBD) was recently robbed.

According to reports, the alleged robbery took place at around 04:00 on Tuesday, March 21.

The witness alleges that she was on duty cleaning when she noticed an unknown male suspect inside the filling station.

It is believed that the male suspect wanted to open the door to the store for other suspects to come in.

The witness further alleges to have been pointed with a firearm through the window by one of the suspects.

Supposedly, the witness later heard a car honk from her hiding spot and as she looked, she saw a colleague of hers.

According to reports, when the witness and colleague checked around the store for any damages, it is believed that they noticed cash was stolen from the till by the suspect before they fled the scene.
