Kwa-Guqa youth crowned Face of Devotion Mpumalanga King

Trevor Nkwanyana plans to use his new Face of Devotion Mpumalanga title to mentor and empower the next generation.

Trevor Nkwanyana from Kwa-Guqa is beaming with pride after being crowned king in the Face of Devotion Mpumalanga pageant.

His crowning on June 27 follows the model’s promising four-year journey in pageantry, which has shown steady growth and improvement.

“My pageantry journey began in 2022, and it has been filled with learning and achievement. Every competition has helped me become a better leader, role model and ambassador,” he said. “The journey has also taught me resilience, confidence and the importance of believing in yourself.”

The 21-year-old former Philip Ndimande Secondary School learner said his main reason for joining the industry was to build confidence and to become someone young people could look up to.

His dedication has earned him titles including first prince at his former school and Khayalami Modelling Agency, second runner-up at Supreme Sparkle Emalahleni, king of Nonchalant 2024, Mr Valentine’s king in 2025, a Mr eMalahleni finalist, and now this latest provincial title.

“Holding the king of Face of Devotion Mpumalanga title is a great honour and a dream come true. It reminds me that dedication and perseverance always pay off,” the model said. “I feel grateful, proud and motivated to use this platform to inspire others and make a positive impact in my community.”

“My goal is to help young people develop confidence, leadership skills and prepare them for success in modelling and in life,” he said. “I want to be remembered not only for the titles I have won, but also for the lives I have changed,” he said.
