Athletes from three local private schools in eMalahleni participated in their first-ever athletics day
The first three places in the 100 m, 200 m sprint and relay events received a medal.
Athletes from three local private schools battled it on the field to show their running skills recently.
Ilanga Private Academy was the host of this first-ever sports event held at Witbank High School on Friday, April 21.
Athletes from Ilanga, St Andrew’s Academy and Witbank Christian Academy participated in the 100m, 200m and relay events with winners receiving medals of which they were very proud.
“The kids enjoyed it so much. We are planning to also have netball and mini rugby events soon, “ said Annelie van der Schyf from Ilanga Academy.
