Over the weekend, the R555 claimed three more lives and left three people hospitalised.

The accident happened around 20:30 on Saturday, May 13, on the Old Ogies Road.

The head-on collision involved a VW Polo and a Suzuki.

Both vehicles’ drivers and occupants were critically injured and trapped inside.

Rescue personnel proclaimed three males dead and transported the remaining three from the Polo to the nearest hospital.
