Rabies vaccination campaign has started

Free vaccinations for all dogs. Do not miss out.

Pet owners should take note that rabies vaccinations are being offered for free to pet owners who have not yet vaccinated their dogs against the viral disease.

According to the World Health Organisation, rabies causes many deaths every year and 40% of those deaths are children.

Dogs are the main source of human rabies deaths, contributing up to 99% of all rabies transmissions to humans.

Rabies is a vaccine-preventable viral disease.

On 6 September the Agricultural, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs Department will be offering free rabies vaccinations at the following two locations;

September 6 at Reyno Ridge Primary from 11:00 to 16:00.

September 8 and 9 at Alzu in Tungsten Street from 11:00 to 16:00 on the 8th and 09:00 to 13:00 on the 9th.

Take the opportunity and head on down with your dog for your free vaccine.
