Klipfontein faces tough cricket defeat against Curro

Curro won the match by 9 wickets.

In a cricket clash that took place on Tuesday, August 29, the Laerskool Klipfontein cricket team found themselves up against a formidable opponent, Curro Bankenveld.

Despite their best efforts, Klipfontein ended up on the losing side.

The match was an intense battle of skills and sportsmanship, with both teams giving it their all on the pitch.

When the final run was scored, it was Curro who emerged victorious, leaving Laerskool Klipfontein with a defeat to ponder.

Coach Raymond Kramm after Klipfontein bowled out for 27 runs said, “We lost that game, but we are very proud of how the boys handled themselves.”

One of Curro’s cricket coaches Sizwe Zwane explained how the U9 claimed victory.

“Klipfontein came in to bat first and managed to score 27 Runs in 10.2 overs with everyone bowled out. Zandru Labaschange took four wickets. We then came into bat and managed to get the runs in four overs and win the game with nine wickets,” Sizwe said.
