Masemanzi Mining lights up lives at Highveld House Child Welfare Centre

Masemanzi Mining Holdings commits to assisting child welfare in Witbank (Highveld House).

Masemanzi Mining Holdings, a prominent mining company in eMalahleni, demonstrated its commitment to the community by extending a generous hand to Highveld House Child Welfare.

This local centre provides temporary care for children in need.

This act of kindness and support has had a profound impact on the lives of the 12 children under the centre’s care, offering them much-needed hope and the promise of a brighter future.

Masemanzi Mining’s director, Wonderboy Manzini, shared their noble intention behind the visit to the centre on Thursday, November 2.

He explained that the company had pledged to donate the proceeds from a Kaizer Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates Legends game hosted at Puma Stadium on October 14 to children’s homes and centres.

Wonderboy stated, “We have visited the centre in Klipfontein, where we feel the need to empower and give back to the community.

We want to incorporate the children into our system so that they can build a better future and lead fulfilling lives, coming from different backgrounds.”

He further emphasised their commitment, saying, “We want to give back and try to see if we can help these children or support this home for at least 12 months, which may extend beyond that, but we still want to give it a try.

Today, we are here to rejoice with them by donating goodies.”

Patrick Noko, the Chairperson of Child Welfare at Witbank, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with Masemanzi Mining Holdings, stating, “We are immensely proud to have them as our donors, helping the kids.

This should serve as an example for other companies, demonstrating that the underprivileged are being cared for in such centres. We are very proud of them, and their gesture holds a special place in our hearts.”
