Vosman Police launch Youth Empowerment Programme for junior police officers
Station Commander Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu encouraged unity and workmanship to the juniors.
This innovative initiative aimed to foster a supportive environment where young officers learn from each other’s experiences and develop valuable skills to enhance their professional and personal growth.
Vosman Police Station Commander Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu opened the session by mentioning the importance of working together in the department.
He also reminded the officers that Vosman Police Station is the beacon of hope to communities.

“The police organisation memento is that one organisation without working with the other will result in a low success rate. I am not only talking about police officers, but also referring to other organisations outside the police service,” said Ndlovu.
Counsellor Mkhati-Rakwena shared insight on mental health issues that young police officers may face, and what they have to be aware of should they experience trauma.
Rakwena stated, “When you have mental health issues, your brain tells the rest of the body what to do.”

On Wednesday, July 17, Warrant Officer Ben Masilela reminded officers of the importance of spiritual awareness.
“I fell into a crisis, and that made me realise that I don’t have a spiritual source. I was powerless, that’s when I gave my life to the Lord so that I could have that spiritual source that gives me a purpose to live,” Masilela shared.
Speakers and guests enjoyed lunch, interacted with their fellows, and applauded one another for the good work they do for the community.
