eMalahleni high schools bid farewell to pupils in style

Cambridge Academy, Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog , and Hoër Tegniese Skool grade 12 pupils hosted their matric dance show-off on the same day.

It was raining luxury cars, glitz, and glamour as schools across eMalahleni held their annual matric dance season.

Cambridge Academy, Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog (HGH), and Hoër Tegniese Skool (HTS) grade 12 pupils did not hold back on anything for their first and last matric farewell.

The learners arrived in a fleet of luxury cars, custom-designed ball gowns, and tailor-made suits to celebrate.

Despite the challenging weather conditions on Friday, September 20, the pupils, parents, and spectators could not contain their excitement, and the opportunity to show off to their peers the most anticipated day of the year.

Cambridge pupil’s Chinese theme show-off and the dinner was at Will Chris Estate.

HGH held a 24-carat Gold-themed show-off at the school grounds and the farewell dinner at Del Amor.

HTS hosted a Greece-themed show-off and dinner at the school.
