Blasting operation to disrupt Christiaan De Wet Street traffic

The blasting operation is scheduled for tomorrow as part of the Klarinet and Siyanqoba Bulk Water Supply Phase 2 project.

A blasting operation that will impact traffic flow and electricity supply in the Christiaan De Wet Street area has been scheduled for tomorrow.

On Tuesday, November 19, the blasting will occur between 08:00 and 315:00, affecting the 100m trench section covering entrances to house numbers 21 and 22 on Christiaan De Wet Street.

To ensure public safety, the street will be closed from 15:00 today (November 18) until tomorrow. Residents of stand numbers 20, 21, and 22 should prepare for temporary electricity interruptions during blasting hours.

The blasting operation is part of the Klarinet and Siyanqoba Bulk Water Supply Phase 2 project.

The Emalahleni Local Municipality Communications Unit urges motorists to use alternative routes, and residents and pedestrians are cautioned to exercise caution during the operation.
