Gogo not guilty of alleged hijackings – Witbank Police urges the community not to take the law into their own hands

Videos of the elderly woman went viral after voice notes from alleged victims trended on social media.

Following the social outburst about an elderly woman accused of being an accomplice in a string of hijackings in eMalahleni’s Central Business District, no witnesses or victims have come forward.

Witbank police station commander Brigadier Moses Bolton confirmed they released the elderly woman.

“We have sent thousands of messages to anyone who can come forward, and no one has,” Bolton explained.

He urged the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.

“We have Gogo’s information with us, and we have no reason to keep her. Allow us to do our job and do not take the law into your own hands.”
