Murder investigation underway in eMalahleni

eMalahleni grapples with violent crime, police investigate latest murder.

A dark cloud of uncertainty hangs over eMalahleni, as the police continue to investigate the murder of a resident, who fell victim to a fatal gunshot wound.

According to the police reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, January 5, at approximately 19:30, in Nene Street, Extension 7, and Klarinet.

A woman, who was at her home, heard several shotgun blasts and attempted to call the victim but received no answer.

She opened the curtain to see what was happening and saw a man exiting the premises, allegedly carrying a firearm.

The woman said the victim was then rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.

The motive behind the murder is currently unknown.

The police are investigating the incident, which is still an on-going case.
