Murder suspect behind bars after he opens fire on police

The suspect was wounded during a shootout with police.

Vosman Police displayed bravery and quick thinking during a shootout with suspects, ultimately leading to the arrest of a murder suspect.

In the run-up to the arrest, police received information that suspects, who were wanted for a Vosman murder case, were at a hostel nearby on February 7.

As police arrived at the scene, they spotted two men matching the description.

The men allegedly drew firearms and started shooting randomly at the police.

The police officers retaliated, and the men fled in different directions.

According to Vusi Mnisi, Captain of the Vosman Police, “Police managed to arrest one of the suspects, though he sustained bullet wounds to the leg and abdomen. A black Blow F92, 9mm gun was found in his possession.”

Due to safety concerns, police left the scene and took the suspect to Witbank Hospital; he is under police supervision.
This is an ongoing case, and police are investigating.
