Long-serving municipal employees honoured at Emalahleni Council Sitting

Emalahleni Municipality honoured three long-serving employees retiring after decades of dedicated service, expressing gratitude for their commitment to community development.

At a recent council sitting, the Emalahleni Local Municipality honoured long-serving municipal employees who are retiring after many years of dedicated service to the community.

Executive Mayor Clr Vusi Nhlapho and Speaker of Council Clr Nombuso Shabangu took the opportunity on June 26 to express their sincere appreciation for the commitment and hard work of these employees.

Among those recognised was Danile Mbatha from Environment and Waste Management (Parks), who served the municipality for 17 years, from 2008 to 2025.

Executive Mayor CIr Vusi Nhlapho, Reana Rozana-Marie Dreyer, and Speaker of Council CIr Nombuso Shabangu.

Also honoured was Reana Rozana-Marie Dreyer from Development Planning Human Settlement, who dedicated an impressive 33 years of service since 1992.

Alexis Gastha Ndhlovu, from Development Planning Building Control, was recognised for 28 years of service, having served from 1997 to 2025.
