Emalahleni LFA celebrates 2025 Kwa-Guqa Development League champions

The 2025 Kwa-Guqa Development League wrapped up in style as young footballers from across eMalahleni delivered passion, precision, and unforgettable performances.

The 2025 Kwa-Guqa Development League season concluded with performances and unforgettable moments as young footballers across eMalahleni showcased talent, discipline, and determination.

The league crowned champions in multiple age categories, highlighting the region’s emerging football stars. In the U11 category, Highveld Young Lions FC claimed the top spot with 36 points, narrowly edging out Young Aces FC, who finished with 34 points.

The U13 category saw intense competition across two streams. In Stream A, Highveld Young Lions FC emerged victorious with 45 points, followed by Liverpool FC with 38 points.

Stream B champions were Young Aces Football Club, with 38 points, and Future Stars SC finished second with 30 points.

The U15 category also featured tight contests. In Stream A, Highveld Young Lions FC secured 43 points, just one ahead of Liverpool FC, while Stream B saw Stars of Mpumalanga triumph with 39 points, leaving Young Aces FC in second place with 28 points.

In the U17 category, Stars of Mpumalanga claimed the championship on goal difference after tying on 54 points with Blackburn Football Academy, demonstrating the high level of competition and skill across the league.

Chairperson Vusi Kabinde praised the young players’ effort and commitment, “It is a proud moment for Kwa-Guqa football. Our young boys showed hunger, hard work, and character. Congratulations to all champions and every team that competed with passion and discipline.” Secretary Maleeu Mahlangu emphasised the league’s developmental mission, said, “This journey is about development, growth, and building future stars. Well done to every club, coach, and player; your dedication has uplifted our football community.”
