eMalahleni man loses phone to armed robbery

urge the community of eMalahleni to be extra vigilant when going in the streets.

A robbery incident recently occurred in eMalahleni, leaving a man shaken and without a phone.

According to the police, a man alleged that on November 8, around 08:00, he was walking toward a local garage when he noticed three men approaching him. One of the men passed, pretending to be walking alone, while the other two went straight to him and attacked him, allegedly pointing a firearm at him. The victim told the police that they started searching him, demanding his belongings, joined by the man who had passed earlier. The robbers made off with the man’s phone.

The case is currently under investigation, and the police are working to track down the suspects.

Captain Eddie Hall, spokesperson for the Witbank SAPS, urges the public to be extra vigilant when going around the streets.

“Always be observant and trust your instinct. If you sense danger, alert the police as soon as you can to get help,” he said.
