Isuzu bakkies under siege as hijackers strike again in Empumelelweni

Police have urged residents to remain vigilant as the pattern suggests that Isuzu bakkies are being singled out by hijackers.

According to police, hijackers continue to target Isuzu bakkies in the Vosman policing area, with yet another incident reported recently in Empumelelweni.

According to the police, a man was sitting inside his Isuzu bakkie when two allegedly armed men approached him.

The man told police a firearm was pointed at him and he was ordered out of the vehicle.

The perpetrators then searched him, taking his cash and his cellphone and fled the scene in his car.

This incident adds to a worrying trend, and police confirmed that more than four Isuzu bakkies were hijacked in the Vosman policing area just three weeks ago.

Investigations are ongoing, and police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
