Man shot during suspected carjacking in Kwa-Guqa

Police investigations are ongoing.

A man was shot and killed during a suspected carjacking in Kwa-Guqa Ext 18.
According to police, on February 23, officers responded to a shooting complaint and found the victim, already deceased, upon arrival.
He was shot three times, in his chest, hip, and leg.

Three empty cartridges were recovered at the scene.
The suspects remain at large, and investigations are ongoing.

SAPS gave out these tips: “We urge residents to always be aware of their surroundings, avoid stopping for suspicious individuals, keep car doors locked and windows closed, and park in well-lit or secure areas. Report any suspicious activity immediately to your nearest police station.”
