Circuit Two schools set the pace in Emalahleni Girls Schools League opener

The opening of the league saw a highly competitive fixture between eight schools from Circuit Two.

The highly anticipated Emalahleni Girls Schools League U13 has officially commenced, with schools in Circuit Two setting the tone for the season with a highly competitive fixture.


According to the Emalahleni Local Football Association, the opening day on June 3, hosted at Siphendulwe Primary School, delivered exceptional talent, competitive spirit, and teamwork as the young girls took to the field to showcase their skills.

Fans were treated to four vibrant matches between eight schools.


In the first match, Kromdraai Primary School secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory against KwaGuqa Primary School, while Moruti Makuse Primary School dominated with a 3–0 win over Edward Matyeka Primary School.

Dunbar Primary School secured a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Nelson Ngubeni Primary School, followed by a match between Blackhill Schoongezicht Primary School and Siphendulwe Primary School, which ended with a goalless draw.

Everyone, from players and coaches to fans and parents, expressed excitement with longing for the second fixture scheduled for the second week of July.
