NLC entrepreneurs doing business via relationships

In the guest speaker’s presentation, he highlighted Jesus as the ultimate model of servant leadership as He helped entrepreneurs navigate the business industry.

New Life Church recently hosted its business breakfast, bringing together entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders for a morning of connection, encouragement, and practical insights.

Held on June 5, the event blended faith and business.

The guest speaker, Philip Dunn from the NBI, delivered a powerful message centered on the theme of doing business via relationships.

Drawing from his 18 years of experience, Dunn emphasised that true success in business is not built on transactions alone, but on trust, integrity, and accountability.

He reminded attendees that ‘people before profit’ should be the guiding principle for sustainable growth.
Dunn’s presentation highlighted several key values.

He spoke about the importance of relationships over transactions, stressing that investing in people yields long-term dividends.

He described trust as currency, noting that honesty and integrity are the foundation of every meaningful business deal.

He encouraged leaders to embrace serving versus selling, pointing to Jesus as the ultimate model of servant leadership.

He also highlighted the role of accountability and transparency, explaining how openness builds stronger bonds than spin ever could.

Beyond practical business principles, Dunn touched on the emotional realities of entrepreneurship.

He observed that business leaders often face loneliness, despite being surrounded by people.

Quoting from a sermon by New Life Church senior pastor Ryan Langkilde, “I’ve been in business for almost 18 years, and I have learned that there are few people in the world more lonely than a business person,” he said.
