eMalahleni to join national anti-immigration march
Law enforcement will be on hand to monitor the planned protest.
Marchers are set to hit the streets again in eMalahleni today as they join a nationwide anti-illegal immigration protest.
The march follows a previous demonstration, held on June 4, during which participants submitted a memorandum to Emalahleni Local Municipality Mayor Cllr Vusi Nhlapho calling for undocumented foreign nationals to leave the city.
Organisers said the demonstration forms part of a co-ordinated national campaign aimed at addressing concerns about undocumented foreign nationals and their perceived impact on communities.
Participants plan to gather at the park between Witbank Hospital and the municipal water works before marching to the municipality.

Xolani Nkosi said, “Today, we are having a peaceful March and March that will be taking place in all provinces.”
March and March eMalahleni chairperson Robbie Williams added, “Our previous march we had here in eMalahleni was excellent. We want to maintain that standard or even do better. We will be submitting the memorandum to Mpumalanga Premier Mandla Ndlovu because we believe some of the issues require provincial intervention.”
The march will be monitored by the members of SAPS and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of participants, motorists and members of the public.
