A Million Women SA leads prayer rally in eMalahleni
Believers are preparing for a national solemn assembly in Johannesburg following a province-wide prayer movement.
Believers from different churches, cities, and even neighbouring provinces came together in eMalahleni to pray for Mpumalanga and the country.
During the gathering on July 18, attendees prayed about challenges facing the province, believing prayer can transform lives, restore communities, and shift a nation’s course.
Nadine van Schalkwyk, provincial lead for A Million Women SA, explained that the global prayer movement is aimed at calling people to unite in prayer, fasting, repentance, and standing in the gap for their families, communities, and nations.
“This gathering was more than a prayer rally; it was an activation. It was a call for believers to continue praying beyond the event, to remain steadfast, and to be agents of hope and transformation,” said Van Schalkwyk.
“We will not remain silent, and we will not stop praying until we see breakthrough, revival, and lasting change in our province and our nation.”
The movement is also preparing for September 19, when they will gather as a nation at Beaula Park in Johannesburg for their national solemn assembly.
