Father-Daughter Talk inspires faith and humility
The Father-Daughter Talk is a ministry of Faith Tabernacle Family Church, and it is aimed at restoring and empowering the daughters of God.
Faith Tabernacle Family Church in Lynnville, under the leadership of Apostle Glen Emmanuel Makam, hosted its quarterly Father-Daughter Talk on July 25. The ministry is dedicated to uplifting and empowering daughters of God through testimony and teaching, and the event drew a strong turnout from the community.
The programme featured guest speaker Nandi Magagula, who shared her personal journey of faith. She recalled accepting Christ at the age of 22, choosing baptism during her tertiary studies while many of her peers pursued worldly pleasures.
“As every youth had witnessed, the fun and nice vibes of this world were there; however, I chose to serve God and only God,” she said, explaining why she committed herself to the Lord at a young age.
Magagula continued her testimony by reflecting on her marriage journey. She explained that she married in her early 30s, later than some of her peers, but never felt pressured.
“I had told myself that whatever plan the Lord had for me would find me wherever I was. If it meant not getting married at all, that would be fine,” she added, highlighting her trust in God’s timing.
The father and daughter ministry’s mission is to raise, restore, heal, and empower daughters of God to know their identity in Christ, to walk in His purpose, and to impact their families, communities, and generations for the Kingdom of God. Meetings include interviews with daughters of God who share their testimonies, alongside preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

Makam emphasised that Father-Daughter Talk is not limited to a single day, but continues to provide a platform for women to share experiences, receive guidance and grow spiritually.
“We identify young women and assign mentors to them based on what education they need, and they get to be mentored in relation to that by those who are before them,” Makam said.
