Emalahleni KwaGuqa Masters League competition tight ahead of May season

The teams are preparing for the main season that will kick off in May.

The Emalahleni KwaGuqa Masters League pre-season has started showing just how competitive this year’s campaign will be.

With recent matches already producing close results, the teams are showing that no side can be taken lightly as they prepare for the official season starting in May.

After the most recent matches on March 22, Dangerous Darkies remain unbeaten and continue to lead the way after a 2–1 win over St John Masters.

However, Shining Stars are not far behind as they sit just two points behind after a 3–1 victory against Phatudi Masters, keeping the pressure on the leaders. Umlilo Masters secured a 2–0 win over 3D Masters.

Maredi United and Vithiza Legends played out a goalless draw, while All Nation Masters and Peace Makers FC shared the points in a 2–2 draw.

As the battle for the top in the pre-season continues, what stands out most is how tight the competition is across the league.

The gap between the top and middle teams is small, and even those at the bottom are fighting hard to stay in contention.
