Leandri is a Jack of all trades

With other talents in store for the teen, she was also crowned Miss Junior Witbank 2025.

A talented teen from the City of Coal, Leandri Townsend (14), is making a name for herself in various entertainment avenues.

At just 14 years old, Leandri holds the Miss Junior Witbank 2025 title, marking the debut of her pageantry journey.

According to her mother, Melanie Townsend, the teen stepped into the pageant industry with just her bare knowledge, and it was her taking the leap of faith that paid off.

However, for Leandri, the sky is the limit as her true passion lies in the dancing industry.

As her mother recalls on her dancing journey, she noted that Leandri started making waves on the dancing stage just from the age of three, proving that leaders are indeed born.

From the age of six, Leandri has been part of a local dance academy.

Leandri’s heart pours to live performing, and she is a firm believer of that she can reach wherever the heart wishes to be, as she would also like to pursue a career in acting.

According to Leandri, quitting is not an option; however, pausing and resetting is as she would rather take a break from the pageantry scene and focus on some of the talents she serve, including her studies.

“I hold the Miss Junior Witbank 2025 title, and after this, I won’t be competing for another title anytime soon. However, my journey continues in modelling,” she said.

After a year of reign, the beautiful teen would like to continue with the charity work that she has been doing for the community she resonates with.

As the foundation matters most, Leandri’s mother emphasised that she supports her in everything, including ideas that she plants herself in her heart.

“The only challenge I’d highlight is having to show up in different areas for different activities on a daily basis,” she said.

eMalahleni serves beauty and brains, Leandri proved.
