One confirmed dead in horrific 7-vehicle N12 crash

The N12 is now open with drivers being rerouted to areas where it is safe to drive through.

At least one person has been confirmed dead following the tragic crash that occurred earlier this morning on the N12 toward the R555 Ogies/Blackhill off-ramp.

As responders continue to collect information on the crash, which reportedly involved four trucks and three vehicles, one person has been confirmed dead.

One of the trucks involved is said to have been a petrol tanker which exploded soon after the collision. Officials are continuing to work on the scene.

The N12 is now open, with drivers being rerouted to areas where it is safe to drive through.
