Budding stars shine on the sports field this Youth Day

Sgwinya Sonke kick their way to Kasi Youth Day tournament glory.

Football fever gripped the greens on Youth Day as Sgwinya Sonke were crowned Kasi Youth Champions after winning against Ackerville United 1–0 in a hard-fought final decided by a penalty.

The tournament on June 16 brought together local teams including Ultimate Emalahleni Bees, Sunrise Academy, Klarinet Future Stars, Bright Moon, and Coronation Young Movers, creating an exciting celebration of youth football.

Sipho Themba, one of the organisers, said, “We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, players, and the community of eMalahleni for their overwhelming support. The tournament was a great success.”
