‘Break the law, face the force’: MEC issues stern warning ahead planned anti-immigration protests
Mpumalanga’s MEC for safety has said law enforcement is prepared for upcoming anti-immigration protests and those found breaking the law will be shown no mercy.
The Mpumalanga MEC for community safety, security and liaison, Jackie Macie, said law enforcement agencies have been placed on high alert ahead of the planned anti-immigration protests expected to take place tomorrow (June 30).
“We are prepared for any eventuality or threats that may arise from the anticipated protests concerning illegal foreign nationals. The entire force is ready and remains on high alert. Those who break the law or infringe on the rights of others will be dealt with accordingly,” Macie said.
“All persons participating in any related marches must do so within the ambit of the law and with respect for the rights of others.”
