COSAS honours Phillip Ndimande Secondary School choir with commemorative tree planting

The Congress of South African Students (COSAS) Nkangala Region hosted a tree-planting ceremony at Phillip Ndimande Secondary School on July 24 to celebrate the school’s achievements at the 2026 National ABC Motsepe Foundation South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE).
During the assembly, COSAS also paid special tribute to Grade 11 learner Gift Gumede, who secured the second runner-up position in the National Baritone Solo category at the SASCE.
COSAS Mpumalanga Provincial Organiser Shaun Motsoeneng said, “As we celebrate academic and artistic excellence, we also reaffirm our commitment to environmental sustainability, leadership and community development. Together we plant. Together we grow. Together we inspire.”
