Kakarambha Foundation gives back to elderly through Mandela Month initiative
Elderly residents of Tasbet Park received more than blankets; they received a reminder that their community cares.
The Kakarambha Foundation embraced the spirit of Mandela Month by donating blankets to elderly residents in Tasbet Park on July 23.
The initiative was aimed at supporting senior citizens and showing appreciation to those who have helped shape the community.
Kakarambha Foundation representative Thando Masango said the organisation wanted to honour the elderly by showing care and gratitude.
“Giving back to our elderly is a way of recognising the role they have played in building our communities. They have paved the way for us, and we believe they deserve to feel valued and supported,” Masango said.
