JUNIOR ASSISTANT HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER Emalahleni, Mpumalanga

About us: We are a hydraulic and engineering company based in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga. We are committed to fostering zero harm working environment and are looking for a young, highly motivated and proactive health and safety personnel to join our team. Core Requirements:
Education:
•A Grade 12/ Matric certificate is mandatory plus relevant post-matric qualifications such as a National Diploma/Certificate in Safety Management or specfic courses like SAMTRAC, COMSOC.
•A valid and clean driver`s licence
Technical Skills:
•Knowledge of the OHS Act (Occupational Health and Safety Act) and relevant regulations
•Proficiency in incident investigation and reporting.
•Computer literacy, particulalry with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Attributes:
•Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

•Quick learner
•Ability to take initiative
Location:
•Must be based in and around Emalahleni Key Responsibilities:
•Conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA)
•Performing regular workplace inspectors, safety audits
•Incidents investigation and reporting
•Assisting with the creation, updating and maintenance of accurate health and safety records
•Facilitating daily/weekly toolbox talks and safety inductions
•Issuing and monitoring the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
•Ensuring compliance with OHS legislation to help maintain a “zero- harm”work environment
Experience:
•1-2 Years of experience in SHEQ (Safety and Health environment (e.g., construction, mining, or engineering workshop)
