I am a huge star wars fan. The Jedi are super cool mystical warriors. As a child the most intruding aspect of the Jedi was their ability to sense things especially disturbances in the force. Other people might say it is the lightsaber but how powerful does a guy have to be to sense an impending disaster before it happens?
I sensed a disturbance when our previous mayor packed her bags so to speak after being shown the door in a sense. She got fired. Hurray! Would be your first reaction, but wait eager citizen as the big question is who then will they get to replace her? Hopefully someone better?
I would not hold my breath. I am guessing you felt the disturbance as well? Has it dawned on you that all Salome was guilty of is not really doing anything except attending ribbon cutting events and being late all the time? Yes my fellow citizens it can get a lot worse.
Avoiding problems and neglect is one thing but actively messing up progress is on a whole other level. I would know. My brain can zone out for an hour and miss an entire class which is bad. Other times my brain will actually get me to pay attention and then get me kicked out for accusing the teacher of talking down on us and having ties to the Chinese Triad Mafia (what can I say, I was born with this imagination). Anyway not only did I miss the class, I also got a week of detention.
I don’t know what to expect form whoever is going to sit in that lofty position but the shadow of doubt that this is going to get better for all of us is looming heavily over me. On the other hand I laughed way more than I should have after I confessed my doubts in a serious discussion with my family when my sister-in-law said, “we have a mayor?” Salome Sithole’s legacy in a nutshell
