A death trap with surround sound

Cars scare me to death sometimes.

Cars scare me to death sometimes. It really seems like the guy that invented the automobile was actually a mad engineer (you think mad scientists are bad then you show watch out for these guys) who is also the most patient serial killer ever. He had a long, long term plan to kill off as many people as possible with his death machine. It is either that or he was working on an actual death machine but added the wheels so that it could easily be transported and people said, “Hey that guy built a portable death machine. “Let’s call it an automobile and revolutionise the transportation industry.”

Whatever the case may be, a vehicle has become necessary in modern society so we learn to live with it. However ever so often these machines claim a few more lives, whether it be bad weather or drunk driving or negligence or an honest mistake the two tons of metal travelling at 100km per hour is not very good for anyone’s health when it is suddenly stopped by a brick wall for example.

If anyone has the memory of an elephant they might recall me writing about the exact same issue a couple of years ago. I suggested using bubble transportation but nobody listened. Think of the advantages for example car insurance will be almost zero, no potholes to worry about, and much cleaner air especially since the bubble cars will be powered by soupy water.

On the other hand we will not really be able to show off a sweet new set of rims, and the definition of car sound will be nothing more than an MP3 player. Sure exotic cars will become the stuff of legend and motor sports will move from Super Sports to the Disney Channel but at least we will be safe.

I cannot help but wonder what the illegal drag racers or the bombastic BMW owner might say about this idea. Probably just some road rules to violate and they should be happy.
