Pilot killed in Limpopo plane crash
The incident comes a day after a gardener and a pilot perished in Midrand when another aircraft crashed into a house in Vorna Valley.
Police in Tom Burke, outside Lephalale, are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an aircraft crash in the early hours of this morning, 9 October, Polokwane Review reports.
According to police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the pilot departed in a light aircraft at around 07:15 from the Zwartwater Farm enroute to Gauteng.
“Within a few minutes from his departure, the aircraft lost control and its front end crashed to the ground in the bushes around the Enkelfontein farm, killing the pilot instantly,” he explained.

This comes a day after a pilot and gardener died in a crash in Vorna Valley, Midrand.
The deceased was positively identified by the family as Koot Human Steyn (54).
Ngoepe added that the cause of the accident is still unknown and that investigations by both the South African Police Service and the Civil Aviation Authority are underway.
