AT the beginning of each year we hear the wise old sayings of it being a new year with new opportunities. For most, that is pretty true and for others who take on the New Year with a negative approach, be it at the workplace or in general, 12 months seem to be a repeat of the previous year.
As we swiftly move into 2014, what about trying a fresh approach? In whatever you do, do it as if you’re always doing it to impress, in that way you put in 110 percent into your work.
But to do that, you have to feel good about waking up in the morning to go to the office and what better way to feel good than looking fabulous. ‘When you feel like you look good, you automatically carry that attitude into your day.
It’s important to choose the kind of clothes that don’t make you feel self-conscious. A cut might look great on you, but if you are going to be constantly worrying about whether your strap is falling off, or whether your lady bits are hanging out, or your skirt is riding up your thighs when you sit down , you’re going to be uncomfortable, possibly irritable and that will carry into the day as well’, said Candice Austin, a philosophy lecturer at the University of Zululand.
The more effort you put in your work attire the more confident you feel about taking on a challenge! With that said, a lot can go wrong with clothing for ladies; it is important to dress appropriately, especially when sharing the workplace with the opposite sex and remember, whatever you wear, wear it with confidence! ‘
‘We need to recognise that we cannot change the world around us, but we can change our attitude to the world. Like attracts like.’
