THE Zululand community sadly bids farewell to Jannie Erasmus: husband, father, brother and friend to many.
Jannie, a top class rugby player in his younger days, unfortunately lost his battle against cancer on Saturday.
Jannie played a big part in the lives of many people, due to his involvement in various sectors of local society.
He was a staunch member of the Meerensee Boat Club, loved birding as a hobby and played a big role in the horse and show jumping fraternity.
Loved and appreciated by so many people, he was known for his positiveness and kindness and always enjoying the opportunity to share a joke.
Jannie was truly a gentleman; one who put other people’s needs before his own and was always willing to provide a helping hand to others.
Jannie leaves behind Gena his wife, his son Johan and daughters Hanlie, Mickey and Jolene.
•The service will be held at 11am on Thursday 26 February at the NG Kerk in Essenwood road, Arboretum.
