THE old adage ‘You’re never too old to learn something new’, came true for me the other evening at my mother’s house.
So I decided to share my new found knowledge.
Here is a list of things I did not know.
• The word stewardesses is the longest word typed with only the left hand.
• The word lollipop is the longest word typed with only the right hand.
• No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver or purple.
• The word dreamt is the only English word that ends in the letters ‘mt’.
• One’s eyes are always the same size from birth, but the nose and ears never stop growing.
• The saying ‘The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,’ uses every letter of the alphabet.
• The words racecar, kayak and level are the same whether they are read left to right or right to left (palindromes).
