Commuters injured in John Ross Parkway crash

Early morning traffic came to a standstill after a taxi collided with a 4x4 on the John Ross Parkway.

INJURED passengers were rushed to Ngwelezane Hospital after a crash on the John Ross Parkway this morning.

It is alleged that a taxi, which was carrying 15 passengers, collided with a 4×4 when the driver of the taxi tried to turn onto the highway.
City of uMhlathuze Traffic Police and ICE Medical Rescue responded to the crash.
A number of passengers in the taxi sustained injuries.
According to one of the commuters, who was on her way to uMfolozi College, the driver of the taxi felt dizzy.
‘It happened so fast. The driver wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t control the vehicle. Everybody was screaming,’ she said.

The driver and passengers in the 4×4 sustained minor injuries.
