UPDATE: Standard Bank issues statement following closure

STANDARD Bank spokesperson Ross Linstrom has confirmed the Empangeni branch will be closed for the rest of the day.

‘Due to a technical problem specific to that branch, unfortunately it will be closed for the rest of the day,’ said Linstrom.

‘We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience.’

According to Linstrom repairs should be completed today, ensuring the branch is fully operational by the start of the business day tomorrow (Wednesday).
