WATCH: Last weekend before payday – here’s how to deal

Break out your month-end-salty-cracks folks, the last weekend before pay day is here!

If you, like us, are desperately awaiting pay day and planning a weekend at home alone with your cats and two-minute noodles – don’t feel too bad.

It’s weekend and looking out the window it seems like we might be getting ready for a cold one. Zululanders are not used to not having sunshine outside, so here’s a few tips to help you weather the storm.

1. Break out the classics – it’s always good fun to raid your DVD collection for that long lost favourite movie you haven’t seen in ages

2. Keep your gadgets charged – you never know when Eskom will darken your doorstep with some unexpected ‘dating in the dark’ theatrics

3. Eat cheap – two-minute noodles and toast are really cheap (ask any student). Noodles have basically zero nutritional value, so you can keep on eating all day

4. Raid the drinks cabinet for the last drop in your hard-tac bottles – half a shot in your coffee does nicely to warm you up

5. Be nice to your cats – times like these you need something warm to snuggle.
