One dead, 12 injured in crash near Ulundi

ONE person has died and 12 reported injured following a crash on the road between Nkonjeni and Mhlahlane near Ulundi this afternoon.

According to a statement by Robert McKenzie, Media Liaison for KZN EMS, a bakkie carrying passengers overturned earlier this afternoon, fatally wounding one person.

‘Paramedics had to work frantically to stabilise a critically injured patient,’ said McKenzie.

All injured passengers were taken to Nkonjeni Provincial Hospital for further care.
