UPDATE: Park poles bowled over

JUST over a month ago, the Zululand Observer highlighted action taken by the municipality to deter residents from hosting ‘park parties’.

Poles put in place to stop vehicles from accessing greenbelt areas have already begun to show wear and tear.

The greenbelt area next to Higgs Road in central Empangeni has already felt the brunt of motorists, after two poles were knocked out by a car during the week.

This incident has thrown the workmanship and validity of the poles into the spotlight.

A response is forthcoming from the municipality.
