The Project Dignity partnership
Organisations supporting Project Dignity will score BBB-EE points and gain extensive exposure in KZN.
THE Bayede Trust, through Project Dignity and Lifeline South Africa, will supply the ‘Subz Washable Pads and Panties’ packs to needy girl pupils.
One pack, comprising nine washable pads and three panties, will see each young woman through five worry-free years – the average time spent at school before entry into tertiary institutes or the working environment.
The patented Subz products, created by award-winning Sue Barnes, founder of Project Dignity, are SABS absorbency approved and endorsed by Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr Attwood-Smith and Pharmacist Anton Lawrenz.
Through the distribution mechanism of LifeLine, the Subz delivery includes counselling by skilled and trained workers.
Personal hygiene and reproductive health talks by LifeLine facilitators are given to the young female recipients as well as to male counterparts, addressing issues such as puberty, HIV, STIs, teenage pregnancy, sugar daddy syndrome and so on.
